Minesweeper

Minesweeper is a classic logic puzzle that turns a simple grid into a test of deduction and careful decision-making. One careless click can end your run, so you need to study the clues, manage uncertainty, and uncover the entire safe area to win.

Minesweeper: Solve the Grid Without Hitting a Mine

Reveal Squares and Read the Numbers

Left-click a covered square to open it. If it contains a number, that number tells you how many mines are hidden in the surrounding eight squares. Use this information to narrow down possible mine locations and identify squares you can safely reveal.

Mark Hidden Mines

When the number clues indicate that a square contains a mine, right-click it to place a mine marker. Marking suspected mines helps you keep track of dangerous spots and prevents accidental clicks. You can also cycle to a question mark when you're unsure about a square. Right-clicking again cycles through the available marking states: mine, question mark, and clear.

Use Number Clues to Clear More Squares

You can sometimes open several squares at once by clicking an already revealed number. This works when the number of adjacent squares marked as mines matches the number shown on that square.

Control

  • Left-click a covered square: Open it.
  • Right-click a covered square: Cycle through mine, question mark, and clear markers.
  • Left-click a revealed number: Open its remaining adjacent covered squares when the number of adjacent mine markers matches the clue.
